Xorg
This configuration-file for xorg which enables accellerated dual screen (works with single screen as well) support (without garbled cursor).
WiFi
When you use a 2.6.18 (or older) kernel, you need the following packages:
- ipw3945-modules-2.6-686
- firmware-iwlwifi
- ipw3945d
Especially the 'ipw3945d' userspace daemon is essential: only if that one runs, the wlan0-interface will appear.
Using the light above the internal screen
Pidgin
Pidgin has a plugin which blinks the light above the internal screen when an IM message is received. The plugin is called 'pidgin-blinklight' and can be found under 'tools' -> 'plugins' and then scroll to:

xmms
For letting xmms blink the light one can install the 'rocklight' package. Please note that 'xmms' is in the process of being removed from Debian though.
